If you go over to the discussion board on her faceboook page, it's interesting to see the defenses her followers have out up. "Sarah didn't pull the trigger" was even the title of one thread her web elves took down for having too many rebuttals. And of course, they're falling all over themselves with the "tu quoque" fallacy. They also can't seem to ban people fast enough to keep her precious web presence free of clear-eyed sanity and/or righteous anger.

I'm sure if that dumb nut Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona needed a liver transplant to replace her alcohol damaged liver there would be no problem. Next thing this stupid Governor will do is allow people to bleed to death in an emergency because the $ 20.00 worth of stiches can not be justified for a non Republican. I will never spend another winter holiday in Arizona.

There is nothing wrong with playing hard, but New Mexico's Lambert crossed the line. She is one of those types of players who thinks she can win by way of physical intimidation. To solve Lambert's problem is quite simple...run her arse to death (outwork) on the field and make sure the coach complains like hell each and every time she commits a foul. If the Refs. refuse appropriately respond to Lambert's fouls with yellow, followed by red cards...then the coach should silently instruct 3 or more of his players quietly roll up on Lambert and beat her arse to a pulp. Hopefully, the end result will be the Refs. pay more attention to players like Lambert, and players like Lambert will think twice before trying to pull this kind of looser crap on opposing teams.

Wouldn't it be great if the crazies left BOTH parties? I would love to get back to civil discourse in our nation. A marketplace of ideas is an incredible gift in our nation, but the whack-jobs seem to have high-jacked the moderate middle ground, leaving only the extreme viewpoints to get any kind of media. Ugh.

Beck's success on Fox proves the idea that you can fool some of the people all of the time. If his viewers would spend half of the time fact checking Beck as they do watching him, his rating would plummet. Beck is a yellow propagandist, and Fox needs to be held accountable for giving this charlatan a platform for spouting his nonsense. There needs to be a coordinated, wide-spread boycott of all companies advertising on Fox until Fox dumps this liar and hypocrite.

That certainly would've been a more sophisticated rational answer. Rand really showed his novice status in that interview, but I'm sure he will improve. I thought it was an interesting choice not to appear on Meet the Press and a real mistake. I think it would've been better to go on and say that while he may have expressed his position poorly, he still stands behind the substance of his comments, that government shouldn't regulate, yadda yadda. It would be so much more refreshing to see those kinds of interview instead of the FOX/MSNBC softball interviews. Get Palin on Olbermann and Harry Reid on Hannity. Then we might get somewhere.

Try to imagine how his father would have handled it though. He would have discredited the accusation and would have presented it as a great point, without offending anybody. Rand froze up because of all the pressure, and he needs more experience debating. Ron would have said something like "well no I think it's wrong to discriminate against anybody, and i think it's a bad idea for a buisiness owner to turn down somebody because of their ethnicity, and i'd like to see how long they last. But you know, over regulating these companies just causes more harm than good." and then he'd have miles of facts afterwords. Rand will learn how to defend himself better, he really just wanted to say that he didn't beleive the government should step in and tell people how to run their buisiness, and that it just creates more problems than it solves.

It is kind of funny, the government would never do anything like this because, it would reward bad behavior....of course that exact behavior is evidently fine if done by Goldman and others.

I think the UK and a few other EU governments actually have programs to help people get out of debt that organizes payments in terms of timing and percentages.
