I think I need to work on my sarcasm. Clearly, I'm no Mark Twain. Also, you forgot John Brown (who was hardly a saint), the Jayhawkers (who killed their own share of Missourians), Dennis Rader, Scott Roder, and Richard Hickock. Lovely to have people such as these from my state. Brown v. BOE also originated out of Kansas because of our segregated schools. And, the KKK took over the state legislature for awhile until William Allen White stepped in. Some say they're still in charge.... And the Koch brothers! Oh, and my Alma mater North High's mascot is the Redskins. Yikes.

Surely your childish hatred of all things Missouri caused you to conveniently ignore on of America's worst cretin and Hater-in-Chief: Mr. Phred Phelps. Also omitted was phamous racist and Kansas native, Adolph Rupp, whom I mention because you are such a huge basketball fan that I assume you obviously knew this. And I'm sure your experience as a news producers has uncovered many stories about communities in Leawood and Prairie Village restricting all African Americans in their covenants, which still exist today.

imply that he was a murderer (although, if you count character
assassinations his body count probably exceeds Jesse's), but to
demonstrate that his reputation is more notorious than distinguished.

Just because you don't like him doesn't make him not famous or "infamous". He has been a lone voice in the wilderness for millions who had to suffer through the lies and slanted media bias of the "big three" media outlets for decades. He exposed them and destroyed them. Their ratings are in the tank and few people take them seriously anymore without fact-checking for themselves. He revolutionized an industry and gave others the courage to speak out against the intentional deterioration of the Constitution. He championed, and continues to champion the power of the individual over the socialist mindset, & constantly encourages others to reach for their dreams through American pride and ingenuity. He gives more to important charitable organizations than most politicians or celebrities and hosts the leukemia and lymphoma telethon yearly on his program which raises millions for research to cure. He is a staunch supporter of the men and women in our military and conducts an annual fundraising drive for the marine law-enforcement foundation, which helps give scholarships to children of fallen soldiers.

Those that don't like him either merely disagree with his views, or have never actually listened to him, but would rather read inaccurate attack articles about him. One slightly inappropriate comment does not make him a villain, and he has offered a sincere apology for his words, which (of course!) the feminist activist disguised as a lowly innocent struggling college student refused to accept.
Love him or hate him, he is the most well-known and famous Missourian in our time and deserves his place among the list.

Missouri House Speaker Steve Tilley, who selected Limbaugh, says the only criteria for the honor is that the selectee is famous--not necessarily that he/she is well-liked.

Well, in that case we can add Martin Luther King assassin James Earl to the list. Ray grew up in north Missouri and was on the lam from the Missouri State Pen in Jeff City when he killed King.

If you go over to the discussion board on her faceboook page, it's interesting to see the defenses her followers have out up. "Sarah didn't pull the trigger" was even the title of one thread her web elves took down for having too many rebuttals. And of course, they're falling all over themselves with the "tu quoque" fallacy. They also can't seem to ban people fast enough to keep her precious web presence free of clear-eyed sanity and/or righteous anger.

I'm sure if that dumb nut Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona needed a liver transplant to replace her alcohol damaged liver there would be no problem. Next thing this stupid Governor will do is allow people to bleed to death in an emergency because the $ 20.00 worth of stiches can not be justified for a non Republican. I will never spend another winter holiday in Arizona.

There is nothing wrong with playing hard, but New Mexico's Lambert crossed the line. She is one of those types of players who thinks she can win by way of physical intimidation. To solve Lambert's problem is quite simple...run her arse to death (outwork) on the field and make sure the coach complains like hell each and every time she commits a foul. If the Refs. refuse appropriately respond to Lambert's fouls with yellow, followed by red cards...then the coach should silently instruct 3 or more of his players quietly roll up on Lambert and beat her arse to a pulp. Hopefully, the end result will be the Refs. pay more attention to players like Lambert, and players like Lambert will think twice before trying to pull this kind of looser crap on opposing teams.

Beck's success on Fox proves the idea that you can fool some of the people all of the time. If his viewers would spend half of the time fact checking Beck as they do watching him, his rating would plummet. Beck is a yellow propagandist, and Fox needs to be held accountable for giving this charlatan a platform for spouting his nonsense. There needs to be a coordinated, wide-spread boycott of all companies advertising on Fox until Fox dumps this liar and hypocrite.
